We are here to invest into the next generation of marketing professionals in Dallas-Fort Worth. We do this by creating environments for people who have a growth mindset, desire for learning, and opportunity for coaching. Join us and become part of our impactful legacy.
8 Things to Know So You Can Connect and Grow
Investment:
Free for active AMA DFW Member Mentors
$99 for active AMA DFW Member Protégés
Requirements:
Active AMA DFW Membership
Mentors: 8+ Years experience and active in the marketing field
Protégé: 0-7 Years experience OR senior year of undergrad
Matching:
You are paired with your Mentor/Protégé based on your Marketing Discipline, Industry Vertical, Location, and Meet-up Preferences.
Commitment:
Be present at the first and last semester events and show up to at least 3 of the 4 M&P events.
Connect monthly with your mentor/protégé outside of the AMA M&P events for at least 30 minutes.
Respond to M&P communications and RSVP for events.
Time:
Spring Semester is January through April.
Fall Semester is August through November.
Monthly events are the 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:30pm to 8pm.
Monthly time commitment is between 3 and 5 hours.
Mentors and Protégés will be paired within 30 days before the cohort starts.
When to Apply:
Now! Apply and get your name on the Mentor or Protégé list.
Within 60 days before a session starts we will reach out to you to confirm this is a good season for you to participate.
Protégés' payment for the cohort is required 7 days before the cohort begins and being assigned to a Mentor.

Completion Awards:
Those who complete a cohort will receive a Physical Completion Certificate, LinkedIn Recommendations, Letter of Recommendation.

Can I apply outside of open application dates?
You can apply at anytime. Fill out the form to be placed on our list and we will contact you within 30 days before the next semester starts. The people on this list will be contacted first when applications open up, if someone drops out or is not able to fulfill their agreement to the program.
How do I get paired with my Mentor/Protégé?
You are paired with your Mentor/Protégé based on your Marketing Discipline, Industry Vertical, Location, and Meet-up Preferences. Age, Race, and Gender are not determining factors in this process.
What if I am not willing to commit to the cohort?
That is ok, then this is not the right season for you join the Mentor/Protégé program.
What if I do not want to join the AMA DFW chapter?
The AMA DFW Mentor & Protégé is limited to AMA DFW chapter members only. Applicants who are not registered AMA DFW members at the time of their application will not be admitted.
Can I get a refund?
We do not issue refunds, even if you do not complete the program.
